Let’s settle a debate 👀⬇️

Are you team first look or aisle reveal? Here are the pros and cons:

Pros
✅ More time at your reception (might even be able to join cocktail hour!) AND most churches only allow about 30 minutes for photos following the ceremony. That is very likely not enough time to get bridal party, family, and bride + groom portraits which means a separate photo location (adding extra travel time).
✅ Likely the only private moments you’ll have together all night
✅ You can exchange private vows
✅ Gives you a chance to get out some nerves so you feel cool as a cucumber walking down the aisle to your person

Cons
❌ ……..there are none! (And if you’re thinking it won’t be as special as an aisle reveal, here’s why that’s not true!)

🤵🏻‍♂️If you’re worried your partner won’t be as emotional, think again! Walking down the aisle with the music, guests all staring, and having your veil in will be JUST as special when they see you. As a wedding planner, I’ve seen it all. And I’ve never had a couple regret doing a first look, even when they had those same thoughts about losing the magic. ✨

Anna & Wyatt’s wedding day was a total New Orleans classic 💍✨

⁠They tied the knot at the beautiful St. Anthony of Padua, then threw an epic party at the Pavilion of the Two Sisters with 250 of their favorite people (and not a single empty dance floor moment in sight).⁠

The day started at the stunning LongVue House + Gardens where Anna and her girls got ready under the gorgeous oak trees and gardens in full bloom. Fast forward to the reception: cake pulls (of course), a donut-shaped groom’s cake, and enough Pink Pony Club energy to carry us all into 2026.⁠

It was elegant, it was joyful, it was New Orleans through and through—and it was SO them.

📊When allocating your wedding budget, every dollar counts. So when you see pricing on a vendor’s website or you get the “per person” cost, then multiply that by your guest count you might think “oh, we can do that!”🤞🏻 Then your quote comes out way more than you anticipated. 😬

💰Taxes and service fees vary by vendor, state, and parish (county, if not from Louisiana😉) and can sometimes be up to 20-25%! It’s always a good idea to ask your vendor about those fees upfront so you can budget accordingly!
